Join Dr Ndivhuwo Makondo – Research Scientist: Artificial Intelligence at IBM and Mishumo Dzhivhuho – senior manager Data Science at MTN As they explore “what is next after deep learning (Neuro-symbolic AI)” 

Ndivhuwo Makondo is conducting research in Neural-Symbolic integration, in an attempt to unify learning and reasoning in artificial
intelligent agents. Specifically focused on sequential decision making processes such as in reinforcement learning and robotics. Working towards
achieving artificial general intelligence.
Also conducting applied research in reinforcement learning for Healthcare applications. Specifically working on developing and analyzing RL algorithms for decision support, as part of the Policy Making with AI (PMAI) platform.

Mishumo Dzhivhuho is an experienced Data Scientist and econometricians with a passion for Machine Learning, and Ethics in AI
Enthusiast with extensive practical gained in Telcos, Financial Services and in revenue collection

‘Increasing public confidence through Data Governance during a crisis’

Kulani has 14 years’ experience in Data Management field. She has held various positions including being an Information Analyst, Data Warehouse Developer, Business Intelligence Developer, Data Steward and Currently a Data Governance Senior Manager which includes Information Risk Management. Her career has exposed her to the Insurance, Oil & Gas and now Banking Industry

Happy has extensive Data Governance and knowledge management experience in SOEs and Financial Services. He is currently on the board of DAMA SA with responsibility for governance and is an advisory board member at the University of Johannesburg.
